Speaker development workshop: 11:00-13:00
We will run, in a parallel room, an expert-led workshop for new speakers. Only 6-8 slots will be available and must be reserved in advance. Registrants will be expected to participate in the session for the full 2 hours and will each need to prepare a presentation relevant to the speciality of emergency medicine of no longer than 7 minutes.
PechaKucha’s 20x20 presentation format shows your 20 chosen images, each for 20 seconds. In other words, you have 400 seconds to tell your story, with visuals guiding the way. PechaKucha means "chit chat" in Japanese. This creative outlet began as nighttime get-togethers in Tokyo in 2003 by two renowned architects. Since then, three million people have attended PechaKucha events worldwide.
Your slides are not your talk. Learn how to improve your presentation skills, be it for a conference, effective shop- floor teaching, even a job interview. Come and give it a go. Your may be selected for a future EMCEF conference. Get your feet on a National stage with support from those who do it regularly - an expert panel will be there to provide feedback and to advise.
